CHRISTINA & REBECA

Christina & Rebeca are international Bachata Artists, multiple World Finalists, and certified Bachata Sensual Instructors & Examiners of Future Teachers.

Both have taught internationally as Leader & Follower while being solo Artists as well as with various partners before becoming Dance Partners and regularly teach alongside Korke the creator of Bachata Sensual.

Christina is a Swiss Champion (2019) before having moved to Barcelone to dedicate herself to Dance Fulltime. She brings deep expertise in Role Switching methodology, exploring versatility, adaptability, and equality within partner dance.

Rebeca is the creator of the Body Movement methodology, focused on body awareness, biomechanics, and expressive movement applied to Bachata Sensual.

Together, they offer two complementary, high-level methodologies that merge technique, body intelligence, and artistic expression, redefining Bachata Sensual from a refined and innovative perspective.

(Weekend 1) Fundamentals

1. 10 HOURS Foundation

Focus: Solid basics + body mechanics

This level is about building correct technique so you can later teach it safely and clearly.

What's covered:

  • Bachata Sensual basics (basic step, side steps, weight transfer)
  • Body Isolation fundamentals (chest, hips, torso)
  • Basic waves (body wave, head position basics)
  • Frame, connection & leading/following fundamentals
  • Musicality basics (timing, phrasing)
  • Teaching basics: how to explain movements clearly
For teachers: You're learning how to move correctly and how to explain it to students without causing bad habits or injuries.

(Weekend 2) Technique & Methodology

2. 10 HOURS Intermediate / Technique & Methodology

Focus: Clean technique + pedagogy (how to teach)

This is where you stop being "just a good dancer" and start becoming a good teacher.

What's covered:

  • Advanced waves (circular waves, chest-to-hip waves)
  • Head movements & rolls (done safely)
  • Counterbalance, elasticity & connection quality
  • Transitions between sensual and traditional bachata
  • Partnering technique (lead/follow clarity)
  • Musical interpretation & styling
  • Teaching methodology:
    • How to structure a class
    • How to correct students
    • Common mistakes & how to fix them
For teachers: You're learning why movements work and how to break them down for different learning styles.

This is where teachers develop a recognizable quality and identity.

  • Safe execution of dips, cambres & head movements
  • Complex sensual combinations & transitions
  • Musicality on a high level (accents, breaks, texture in music)
